2013 PyeongChang Winter Special Olympic Games
Synergy H+K Strategies Seoul successfully carried out the Global Development Summit and Research seminar for 2013 PyeongChang Winter Special Olympic Games in PyeongChang on January 30 and 31, respectively.
The summit for Special Olympics with the theme "End the Cycle of Poverty and Exclusion for People with Intellectual Disabilities” was held for the first time. Many government officials and human rights activists from the sports and business world were invited such as Kim Hwang-Sik, Korean Prime Minister, Joyce Banda, President of the Republic of Malawi, Aung San Suu Kyi, Chairman of National League for Democracy in Burma, Muhtar Kent, CEO of the Coca-Cola Company, Cherie Blair, Cindy Hensley McCain, and Yao Ming.
Working closely with sister company Dewey Square Group, H+K Strategies fully managed the event’s logistics including guests’ invitation & RSVP, the production of the opening video, VIP delegation, and press conference. The summit generated more than 150 news articles.

H+K Strategies delivers industry excellence through creativity and a multi-dimensional communication strategy at the 150th IHG Academy Launch Campaign in China
IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), H+K Strategies Shanghai’s long-term strategic client recently launched its 150th IHG Academy globally in China.
H+K Strategies Shanghai, in liaison with its London office, identified the event as an opportune platform for IHG to further demonstrate its leading position in the industry, and, more importantly, display its commitment to developing local talent and contributing to the communities around the world where IHG operates.
H+K Strategies crafted a set of key messages, from a global perspective with particular relevance to China which was then communicated worldwide to create a universal media story. This attracted strong interest from media and IHG’s stakeholders.
The 150th IHG Academy launch event also featured a panel discussion which was well-received and a major success. It engaged IHG’s internal and external stakeholders, including media, video portals, IHG Academy’s teachers and students, industry experts, and representatives from business associations.

Zardozë Malaysian Debut
H+K Strategies Malaysia provided PR support for Zardozë’s inaugural media event held on 10 April 2013 in Kuala Lumpur. Based in Singapore, Zardozë is a fashion label inspired from the ancient royal art form of gold embroidery. The brand focuses on high-end fashion, featuring dresses with well-defined embellishments.
To mark its Malaysian debut, the client held an exclusive showcase of its ready-to-wear line, featuring dresses from its Holiday and upcoming Spring/Summer 2013 collections. H+K Malaysia secured attendance from local fashion & lifestyle media. Local celebrities Pamela & Vanessa Chong (stars of The Amazing Race Asia 2) and former Miss Malaysia-World Soo Wincci were also present, along with ntv7 personalities Lisa Wong and Melissa Ong, and Malaysia’s well-known celebrity fashion blogger Joyce Wong aka KinkyBlueFairy.
The event was a success in generating awareness for the new label, receiving wide coverage in traditional as well as social media.
